Which AHMA Event is Right for You?

If you’ve been to any of the dozens of AHMA medical conferences in the last 34 years, you know how special they are. (The members make them so.) From inception, AHMA set out to serve its wandering-practitioner members, and to regularly offer a central meeting place for fellowship, respite and self-care as well as for learning and satisfying CME requirements. AHMA conferences and gatherings are heartfelt. That’s why it’s so exciting now to be planning AHMA’s first major medical conference since last year’s iMosaic, in Minneapolis.

You have options - which event is best for you?

Nov. 2 Rediscovering the Spirit of Healthcare (retreat)

March 1-3 The Resilient Healer (retreat)

April 17-21: Gateway Medical Conference

Even if you’ve never been to an AHMA conference, if you are an AHMA member, you devote precious time looking for ways to deepen your understanding and practice of holistic medical principles. You desire to profoundly influence the holistic healing process and the role you play in it. All life experiences for you, including birth, joy, suffering and the dying process, are cherished learning opportunities for both you and your patients and clients. This is your continuing education.

As you seek transformative learning and understanding, you go beyond reading and lectures, conferences and webinars. Along your learning path, you connect with likeminded colleagues, and in such company you intuitively increase your understanding of people’s innate powers of healing in their bodies, minds and spirits. In each interaction with a fellow traveler, there exists the powerful potential to acquire knowledge and to offer lessons learned. Often, you experience a natural symmetry in your shared learning. We teach best what we most need to learn.

Through your affiliation with other AHMA members and with your organization, you find unique opportunities to grow along your holistic lines and to promote health and prevention of disease over management of symptoms. You don’t have to spend hours searching the Internet looking for the best transformative events and interesting journals to expand your horizons. Many of the best experts you seek end up sitting next to you at an AHMA conference or retreat.

Next year’s Joint Conference with AAEM in St. Louis, April 17-21, is a major return to this organization’s roots. You will improve your professional holistic knowledge and earn CMEs or other CEs. Plan to attend, won’t you?

Can’t wait until April for the next AHMA event? Between now and then, you have two special opportunities to gather, learn and grow. These AHMA retreats are led by thought leaders, who, like you, devote themselves fully to transformative learning.
